The Surly Big Dummy is designed for one thing, carrying cargo. From surf boards to laptops, the Big Dummy can carry it all, and lots of it.  The frame is capable of carrying 200 pounds, not including the rider, and because the E+ system is housed inside the wheels, the weight of the battery and motor do not have any effect on the carrying capacity of the frame.   This model is built around the Surly Xtracycle design platform, which means that any Xtracycle accessories can be added depending on what you want to carry, making this one of the most versatile bicycles ever.
